About the ALFATECH Conference
The ALFATECH Conference is one of the leading international scientific and professional events organized by Alfa BK University, with the aim of bringing together scientists, industry professionals, researchers, and students around a shared theme — the role of modern technologies in shaping smart cities and the digital future.
In its latest edition, held on March 06, 2026, ALFATECH centered around the theme “Smart Cities and Modern Technologies”, providing a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and practical solutions addressing the challenges of contemporary urban life. The conference is held in a hybrid format — both on-site at Alfa BK University in Belgrade and online via modern digital platforms — allowing participation from national and international attendees alike.
The mission of the conference is to foster collaboration between academia, government institutions, and the private sector in the direction of building sustainable, technologically advanced, and secure cities of the future. Participants are introduced to the latest research and practices in fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), blockchain technologies, energy management, sensor networks, and the digital transformation of public services.
Renowned speakers from Serbia and abroad have contributed to the conference — including government officials, university professors, innovators, and leaders from companies such as Huawei, A1 Serbia, Informatika AD, TeleGroup, and research institutions like Vlatacom. Numerous panels, workshops, and presentations were held, covering topics ranging from cybersecurity to automated urban infrastructure management, with special attention given to interoperability challenges and privacy protection in smart systems.
A particular emphasis is placed on bridging the gap between science and industry, as well as developing human capacities through the education of a new generation of IT and engineering professionals. The conference was categorized by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia as a conference of national importance
